 Hyvää lauantaita, tervetuloa Allsorts haasteen pariin! Viikon aiheena "kohokansiot ja / tai kohojauheet eli embossaus. Nyt pistin kyllä sellaisen sotkun aikaiseksi, että tähän tekniikkaan pitää palata paremmalla ajalla. Kannattaa kurkata upeita tuotoksia ja neuvot täältä.

Happy Saturday, it's time for a new Allsorts Challenge! Technique theme is "embossing, dry and/or hot"
Welcome to join in.

I'm trying a new technique, I got a hint from my teamie Hilary. She had found this blog called Group of Seven Cardmakers - advice from experienced cardmakers on techniques and products.
Take a look the amazing samples there are. This is my quick one, with black fingermarks all over!

I got to try this all in better time, this how it goes: "watercolouring a background using re-inkers ( I used Brusho's) to create a very saturated, vibrant background.  Once that is dry, an embossing folder ( Sizzix) is used to add dimension to the colourful card at the same time as adding black ( Versa Fine Clair Nocturne) ink to the background. After embossing through BS I hot embossed the surface with WOW EP. Golden mirri cardstock and Christmas die cut sentiment in Finnish.
It's more green and vivid alive, so hard to take a good pic.

Another Christmas card, now in more white colours. My new Spellbinders die cut set "Stitched Christmas sweater" - I've done many cards with it, here's with dry embossed background.

Black and white! A pic from last weekend, we have snow ( a little). I like to put candles outside, they are so beautiful when it's dark. Happy weekend! Me and hubby are in a short trip, a hotel visit to Imatra. And sorry I still can't comment some blogs. Blogger is so weird...

Flower pot Card

 

Tervetuloa mukaan viikottaiseen Allsorts haasteseen! Aiheena tekstuurit ja / kaikki käy!
Mallikorttina kukkaruukkukortti, jossa oikeasti ruukkuna toimii stanssi, joka on tarkoitettu lahjalaukuksi. Päälimmäinen koristepalanen oli jäänyt roikkumaan ja liitin sen taakse kullanhohtoisen kartongin ja asettelin kukat kuin maljakkoon.

Hello, welcome at Allsorts Challenge,we want to see some texture this week or just pick the Anything goes option. I found gift purse die cut from my craft table and trimmed golden cardstock behind it - it looks like a flower pot - that's the idea of this card. Flowers are Altenew stamps, coloured with Kuretake Zigs and trimmed on. Sentiment die cut says " Happy Birthday".

It was a sunny day when took the photo, now it has been quite autumn storms with heavy wind. Some trees were fallen down in the forest. First frost bites killed the flowers and I've been emptying the pots and wash them for the spring.
I cut some Hortensias to the vase to dry.

Tänään on viimeiset syysmarkkinat tai oikeastaan kinkuntilausmarkkinat Virenojan Merosella.
Joulukiireet lähestyy ja kuukauden flunssa vei työpäiviä. Yritän nyt alkuviikot tehdä kaupungissa paljon jouluaskarteluja että saan vielä viettää mökillä pitkät viikonloput. Korttiauto kulkee siis Päijät-Hämeessä Orimattila- Lahti- Padasjoki väliä, pistä viestiä, jos olet kortintarpeessa! Tilaukset  siis lähtevät Lahdesta ti - to.

Hello, welcome at Allsorts Challenge, our theme for the next week is "Autum Trees, Leaves or Berries" or just pick the Anything goes option.
 
Our trees are mostly yellow, some beautifully red and orange. In my DT Card I used stamped image about leafless trees. I have had it some time and don't even remember is it my own stamp or have I stamped it in some craft meetings. Could it be Penny Black's? Anyway it's been coloured with Gelatos.

Fallen leaves are die cuts and sentiment stamp says "You are wonderful just how you are".
We are still under flu, one hardy one!

We are having an autumn flu, with such a heavy coughing - all muscles are ill and nights are awful.
Anyway we enjoyed watching the nordic lights at Monday night, we were outside for an hour -then I watched them from the window nearly two hours. Great show!

Last week we visited this huge tower at Aulanko, Hämeenlinna, just one hour trip from our cottage.
Never been there earlier! Imagine, I climbed up to the top, 33 meters, it's up in a big hill and the view is so beautiful to the lakeside. It's a fabulous outdoors place, so much to do and see around.
The area and tower was built late 1800's to 1926.

Terveisiä "pohjoisen" reissulta, teimme pikamatkan Ouluun ja Kuusamoon. Säät vaihteli kovasti aurinkoisesta sumuiseen ja sateiseen kotimatkaan. Poikkesimme mennessä myös Tuuriin ja yllätyin miten vähän siellä oli askartelutarvikkeita, viimeksi oli enemmän. No kaikkea muuta kyllä löytyi! Oulusta menimme sumussa Iso-Syötteelle ja Pikku-Syötteelle, mutta eihän siellä mitään näkynyt!
Paitsi poroja, niitä oli ihan valkoisista melkein mustiin, pääosin harmaita. Siinäpä inspiraatiota joulukortteihin!

Pidän vähän syyslomaa, pohjoiseen mennään, tuskin kuitenkaan siellä vielä ruskaa on, mutta loma on loma! Sen jälkeen alkaakin joulurumbaan valmistautuminen, tilaukset kannattaa tehdä nyt ajoissa!
